“Because You Are Life” Workshop – Part of Pink October Activities

As part of its commitment to community development and public health awareness, Tatue’ Lel Amal Charitable Association organized an awareness workshop titled “Because You Are Life” on October 13, 2024. This event was held within the framework of Pink October to raise awareness about breast cancer, in cooperation with Dunya Women’s Cancer Center and Nature of Palestine Charitable Association.

The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge about breast cancer by addressing the general concept of the disease, its symptoms, treatment options, and early detection methods (self-exam, clinical exam, and mammogram). It also focused on prevention strategies through promoting healthy lifestyle habits, including balanced nutrition and regular physical activity, as well as educating participants on harmful environmental practices that can increase the risk of disease.

During the event, Dr. Nafouz Al-Muslimani, Director of Dunya Women’s Cancer Center, was honored for her outstanding efforts in raising community awareness about breast cancer. Additionally, Dr. Yara Dahdal, Program Director at the Nature of Palestine Association, was recognized for her role in highlighting the link between environmental pollution, harmful practices, and increased health risks, as well as for her efforts to mitigate them.
